Give us a run down of your day to day duties….. “First things first, I turn on my computer, check my diary and answer a few phone calls. Then it’s time for the heated debate about who’s making the teas and coffees — we always try and convince Jordan he hasn’t made one for weeks, even though it was probably him the day before! I catch up with everyone in the office and debrief with Tally from our Kidsgrove office, so we can plan what needs to be done and focused on that day. Then I’m out and about on appointments, doing viewings, taking photos of all our lovely new listings and filming TikToks. The days fly by!”
What is your favourite part of the job? “Definitely talking to people and meeting new faces — I could spend all day talking to people! I also love seeing gorgeous houses and posting them on our social media platforms so that they get the attention they deserve. Nothing beats the feeling of getting a property on the market and then seeing it sell — it’s so satisfying!”
What do you find the most challenging? “For me it’s when I’ve really built a relationship with someone through viewings and then find out their offer hasn’t been accepted. You get to know people so well and I feel gutted for them when it doesn’t go their way.”
What’s your guilty pleasure TV show or movie that you can watch over and over? “Coronation Street, without a doubt! Definitely an old woman at heart! I always have Heart 80s or Magic radio on in the office too, which gets on everyone’s nerves, but I love it! Clearly born in the wrong era!”
If you could pick anyone in the world, from past or present, to meet with, who would it be? “It would have to be an icon like Beyoncé, Rihanna or Whitney Houston. Imagine the life advice and the stories they’d have to share… I’d be starstruck!”
If you could instantly master and skill or hobby what would it be and why? “Singing! It’s my absolute dream. I already sing constantly (probably to everyone else’s dissatisfaction), but in my head, my voice sounds much better than it does out loud. If I could master it, I’d never shut up!”
If you were stranded on a desert island and had to pick one of your work colleagues to rescue you, who would you pick? “I’d pick Tally — TikTok is our speciality, so we’d definitely use it to our advantage and find some useful tips and tricks to survive and escape I’m sure! Knowing us you will probably find us doing video tours of nearby beach huts!”
